TURN SIGNAL BRAKE LIGHT
Many newer vehicles are not equipped to handle the extra amp load that trailer lights require.
A power converter provides 12-volt power directly from the tow vehicle’s battery by passing sensitive electronics and providing brighter lights on the trailer.
Each power converter has a double-molded weatherproof housing, and includes a 20 foot battery feed wire (12 gauge), fuse, splices, terminal grease, dust cover, wire ties and ground screw.

PWM SYSTEMS
Some vehicles utilize a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) type wiring system (or “multi-plex”system). These systems vary the signal intensity over a single wire to communicate more than one lighting function.

NEGATIVE INPUT SYSTEMS
Vehicles with Negative Input or “low side” (ground) switching systems, all circuits will initially be active. The signal lamp will turn off when a circuit is activated.
    POWER CONVERTER
5.0 Amp capacity
In most cases, older vehicles do not need a powered converter.
NOTE: Check the owner’s manual to determine
if your vehicle has sophisticated electronics in need of power converter protection.

 TAILLIGHT CONVERTERS
Electronic taillight converters adapt an independent bulb taillight system of the tow vehicle to the shared bulb taillight system of the trailer. If the brake light and turn signals operate from separate bulbs on the tow vehicle, and the brake light and turn signals operate from a shared bulb on the trailer, then a taillight converter is required.
